Frequently asked questions
Who is the 10 pack designed for?
Strata buildings, fleet operators, workshops, property managers and any business where several e-bikes or e-scooters are charged or stored. It lets you cover multiple charging points or sites in one order at a lower cost per blanket.
How many blankets does my site need?
As a rule, one blanket per charging area or bank of chargers, positioned so it can be reached quickly from a safe approach. Larger basements, depots and multi-level buildings often need several. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll help you work out a practical layout.
Is it cheaper than buying blankets individually?
A single blanket is $165.00, so ten bought individually would cost $1,650.00. The 10 pack gives you the same ten blankets in one order, with one invoice and one delivery.
Can I order more than 10, or supply multiple sites?
Yes. For larger quantities, multi-site rollouts or ongoing supply, see our Business & Bulk page or email sales@evfiresolutions.com.au for a quote.
Can I get a tax invoice?
Yes, tax invoices are available on request. Email sales@evfiresolutions.com.au with your order number and business details.
Are they the same blankets as your single product?
Yes. Each blanket in the pack is our standard 2m x 2m E-Bike and E-Scooter Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Containment Blanket, tested to EN 13501-1:2018, with the same 12-month warranty.
How are the blankets packaged and mounted?
Each blanket comes in its own red storage bag with printed instructions, two pull-down release tapes and a metal eyelet for wall mounting. Hang each one near, but not directly beside, the charging point it protects.
How do staff or residents use them in an emergency?
Call 000 immediately. If it is safe to do so, pull both release tapes down and outwards, cover the burning e-bike or e-scooter to contain the flames, then get clear. Do not lift the blanket to check, and never put yourself at risk. With practice, deployment takes around 60 to 90 seconds, and two people can deploy it faster and more safely than one. We recommend a short familiarisation session for staff or building managers when the blankets arrive, without exposing them to fire.
Will it put the fire out?
The blanket is designed to contain and control a lithium-ion fire until emergency services arrive, not to replace them. A battery can stay hot and reignite, so keep everyone clear and let the fire brigade take over.
Are the blankets reusable?
No. Each blanket is single-use emergency protection. Once used on a fire, replace it. Keeping a spare from the pack in reserve means a used location can be restocked straight away.
Do they expire, and how should they be stored?
There is no fixed expiry date. Keep each blanket in its storage bag, inspect regularly for damage, and include them in your routine fire safety equipment checks. Avoid prolonged moisture or chemical contact.
What about shipping and warranty?
Each blanket comes with a 12-month warranty. Shipping is charged as per our shipping policy page. As safety equipment, returns are subject to our standard return policy, contact us with any questions.
