Our stocked range covers the common cases. It does not cover every battery, every enclosure or every vehicle. When the thing you need to contain is an odd shape, an odd size or sits somewhere a standard product will not fit, we manufacture to specification using the same fire-resistant materials as our standard range.

Custom containment bags

A containment bag is where a battery goes when it is suspect, damaged, swollen, recalled, awaiting disposal or simply being transported. The bag has to actually fit the battery, with enough clearance to close and seal properly. That is why so many of these enquiries reach us: the battery in question is not a shape anyone stocks for.

Phones, power banks and small devices

Compact pouches for handsets, power banks, vape devices, earbuds and camera batteries. Common for schools, airlines, correctional facilities, hotels and anywhere personal devices are collected or quarantined.

Laptops, tablets and IT assets

Sized to your actual fleet device rather than a generic footprint. Used for swollen-battery quarantine, warranty returns, decommissioned hardware and transport of damaged units to a repairer.

Tool and equipment batteries

Trade battery packs, site tool batteries and charging-station quarantine. Often ordered in quantity with a bag at each charging bank rather than one per site.

E-bike, e-scooter, e-foil and tender motor packs, including the larger frame-integrated batteries that do not fit a standard bag.

Forklift, EWP, scissor lift, materials handling and industrial traction packs. These are heavy, awkward and expensive to get wrong, so we work from your dimensions and weight rather than a catalogue size.

Transport, storage and quarantine

Bags specified for a particular pallet, crate, cabinet, locker or shelf rather than a particular battery. Useful where the constraint is the space the bag has to live in.

Custom size fire blankets

Our standard blankets run from 2 m x 2 m for e-bikes and scooters through to 8 m x 6 m for heavy vehicles. Custom sizing matters when the blanket has to clear a specific vehicle, cover a specific bay, fit a specific storage bracket, or be handled by a specific number of people.

Vehicle and plant covers

Sized to the actual machine rather than the nearest standard size. Oversized plant, long-wheelbase vehicles, buses, agricultural equipment and mining machinery all sit outside the standard range.

Charging bay and rack covers

Blankets cut to a charging bay, battery rack, shelf or storage cage footprint, so the cover matches the space rather than draping awkwardly over it.

Compact and handling-limited sizes

Where a full-size blanket is too heavy for the people who would have to deploy it. A correctly sized smaller blanket that staff will actually use beats an oversized one they cannot lift.

Marine, deck and vehicle-deck

Sized for a deck footprint, a tender, a vehicle deck lane or a specific berth application, where standard rectangular sizing does not suit the space available.

Two material grades

Every custom item can be made in either grade. The right choice is driven by how often the item could be exposed and what sits next to it, not by picking the highest number on the page.

Standard grade

Silicone-coated fibreglass, rated to 1100 degrees C instantaneous and 550 degrees C continuous. Lighter, lower cost and easier to handle repeatedly, which matters for an item that gets picked up every day.

Heavy-duty grade

High silica, silicone-coated, rated to a 1600 degrees C working temperature at 880 g/m² and 0.75 mm. Built for sustained exposure to very high heat, and for covering something whose failure would take the rest of the building with it.

SuitsVehicle and plant covers, workshop and hardstand blankets, pallet and racking covers, repeat-exposure industrial settings.

Independent classification

Our high silica material is classified A2-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1:2018 by SGS, the second-highest European reaction-to-fire classification, with the lowest smoke rating and no flaming droplets. Testing under EN 13823 recorded a fire growth rate of 0 W/s and no lateral flame spread to the edge of the specimen.

How a custom order runs

Most of the time lost on custom work is spent going back and forth on dimensions. The brief form below is built to capture what we need the first time.

Step 1

Send the brief

Dimensions, quantity, what is going inside it and where it will be used. Photographs and a rough sketch help more than a long description.

Step 2

We confirm the specification

We come back with material, construction, closure type, finished dimensions and any clearance we have added. If a standard product would do the job, we will say so rather than sell you a custom one.

Step 3

Quote and approval

Written quote against the quantity you need. There is no fixed minimum: a single item can be made at a premium, and unit price steps down as quantity rises. Production runs six weeks from design approval, and nothing starts until you approve the specification in writing.

Step 4

Production and delivery

Manufactured to the approved specification and delivered with the relevant material documentation for your records, insurer or safety system.

Volume, branding and resale

Branded and white-label

Custom items can carry your logo, asset numbering or internal warning wording. Useful for hire fleets, resellers and organisations with their own safety identity.

Trade and resale pricing

If you are specifying custom items for your own customers rather than your own site, talk to us about resale terms and repeat-order pricing.

Procurement documentation

Material specifications, test reports and safety data sheets supplied with the order. We are listed on buy.nsw for government and council procurement.

Once a specification is approved we hold it, so reorders do not start from scratch. Useful where a custom item becomes a standard line for your operation.

What custom means for certification, stated plainly

  • Custom items are made from the same fire-resistant materials as our standard range, with the same material test reports behind them. A custom item is not separately certified as a finished product, and we will not describe it as though it were.
  • Our high silica material is classified A2-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1:2018 by SGS. That is a reaction-to-fire classification of the material, carried out on a submitted sample, and the report itself states that it does not represent type approval or certification of the product. We quote it on that basis.
  • Containment bags and fire blankets contain a fire and limit its spread. They buy time and protect what is next to the item. They do not extinguish a battery in thermal runaway.
  • This equipment is supplementary to your statutory fire safety measures. It does not replace them, and it does not change your obligations under them.
  • We supply and specify equipment. We do not deliver installation or hands-on training.
  • If a battery is in thermal runaway, get people clear and call 000. Everything we make is about the minutes before that point, and about stopping it reaching what is beside it.
