What does this sign do?
It clearly marks where a fire blanket is kept, so anyone can find it quickly in an emergency. Bold, easy-to-read signage placed near the blanket helps meet standard fire-equipment signage expectations and keeps your site easy to navigate under pressure.
What size is it, and where should I put it?
The sign is 225 x 150 mm. Mount it on the wall directly above or beside the fire blanket, at a height that's easy to see from a distance, and keep the path to the blanket clear. On a larger site, position signs along the route people would take to reach the equipment.
Can I use it indoors and outdoors?
Yes. It's suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and mounts on a wall or any flat surface.
How is it fixed to the wall?
It's designed for simple wall mounting on any flat surface. Depending on your surface, screws or a strong adhesive both work; choose whatever suits brick, plasterboard or metal.
Do I need one of these if I have a fire blanket?
It isn't mandatory for every setting, but it's strongly recommended. Safety equipment is only useful if people can find it fast, and clear signage is a low-cost way to make sure the blanket is visible when it matters. It pairs naturally with our fire blankets and containment kits.
